IQDB Assessed Programs

Printer-friendly version

The International Qualifications Database (IQDB) is a database of applied science and engineering technology educational programs from institutions around the world. It is developed and managed by the Technology Professional Canada (TPC), and used by provincial Registrars to assess the qualifications of internationally trained applied science and technology professionals in following disciplines.

This page allows internationally trained professionals who are considering immigrating to Canada, to find out if their program has been assessed by TPC and is found in the IQDB.

I am an internationally trained applied science and/or technology professional and my program is in the IQDB, what does this mean?

If your program is in IQDB, upon arrival to Canada you may benefit by having your credentials recognized faster by TPC, provincial registrars, and other organizations that use the IQDB.

I am an internationally trained applied science and/or technology professional and my program is not in the IQDB, does it mean that my credentials will not be recognized in Canada?

If your program is not in the IQDB, that does not mean your credentials will not be recognized in Canada. Your credentials may be assessed by means other than the IQDB, although it may be not as fast as if your program would be in IQDB.

How programs get included into IQDB?

International educational agencies may submit their programs to TPC to be assessed against Canadian academic criteria, which fall under the following disciplines. Once assessed those assessment results are entered into IQDB. If you graduated from an international educational agency and are considering immigrating to Canada, you may suggest to your institution to submit your program for an assessment. The submission process is described here.
