| Description: | There will be a variety of hands-on activities to introduce young ladies, in Girl Guides (Pathfinders and Rangers), to science and technology. Activities include having fun with physics, chemistry, computers, electronics and generating and using electricity! Examples of what the young ladies get to do include: wire a telephone, program and use digital electronics, make a simple electrical machine and carry out chromatography analysis. They also get an introduction to possible careers in technology. Enthusiastic, experienced NAIT faculty and technicians guide the activities and everyone has fun! |
